Sasha Rose Abelson
Sustainability and Climate Policy Advisor

Sasha Rose Abelson is the Sustainability and Climate Policy Advisor for Seventh Generation Advisors. She researches and reports on state and regional climate action policies with a specific focus on carbon market initiatives. In addition, she helps monitor and track opportunities and developments in the areas of renewable energy, sustainability and emerging green technologies. Sasha assisted Terry and his team to negotiate with international leaders in the drafting of several MOUs pertaining to global GHG emissions reductions and forestry practices. These MOUs were signed at the Governors' Global Climate Summit which took place in Los Angeles in, November 2008.

Ms. Abelson is a graduate from Vermont Law School where she earned a Juris Doctors degree as well as a Master of Studies in Environmental Law. Her coursework included classes ranging from Water Law and Biodiversity Protection to Contracts and Corporations. During her studies at Vermont Law she interned with the The Vermont Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy as well as The Defender Generals Office. These combined experiences honed her research, writing and communication skills and deepened her profound appreciation for the environment.
